Wrath of the Righteous
Demonaism is the worship of a particular demon lord, those who seek to worship and gain power such demon lords are known as demoniacs. All demon worshipers understand that sinful mortal souls become demons once the Abyss digests them, but the demoniac simply cannot wait for death to begin this transformation, and instead begins the transformation while he yet lives. In the end, all demoniacs are damned, their souls transformed by the Abyss into demons upon their deaths.
Demonaic loyal to Deskari flock to the Worldwound in the fallen nation of Sarkor to aid in their lord’s ascension over the Material Plane. Many mortals pledge their usefulness by assuming the guise of crusaders to better infiltrate and sabotage the Mendevian Crusades.
To outsiders, it may seem strange that those who practice demonaism are at odds with diabolists. Though both philosophies venerate the values of the lower planes, their inherent values of law and chaos make these two belief systems wholly incompatible.
